Caroline Mckenna
Having spent her formative years living in London, Caroline embarked on a short-lived career in banking before working in hospitality. She then accepted an office based position with a travel company, which ignited a lifelong passion for travel and led to a career that has taken her all over the world. Working as a Tour Manager Caroline has travelled far and wide leading groups throughout Canada, North America, Europe, and as far afield as Asia and New Zealand. She particularly enjoys leading specialist groups, which have been as diverse as taking Elvis fans to Memphis through to taking Art Deco lovers on tailor made tours - all of which have created many memorable moments. She has spent time on specially chartered ocean cruise ships in the role of Shore Excursion Manager and worked as Cruise Director on European river cruises. Sadly Covid put Caroline’s travel career on hold, but working for the National Trust has proved an enjoyable and successful alternative. When not travelling the globe Caroline now lives in Somerset enjoying handicrafts and experimenting in the kitchen. Although having spent seven years living in the Rocky Mountains, Canada still holds a special place in Caroline’s heart and she often returns to enjoy her favourite outdoor activities of skiing, hiking and photography.
